Comparing Recruiting, Social Media and Dating…Shhh, It’s Top Secret!

WHAT’S THE EPISODE ABOUT…

One of the biggest questions that I get from our listeners is about recruiting. And so often I hear the words just nobody wants to do this with me, they think it’s a game, it’s a pyramid scheme. So much of that is the energy of belief around thinking those are the thoughts of your prospects. When you have a shift in your energy and look at what is the value, what are the incredible things that happen when someone has success with their network marketing business, that is how you become a Master recruiter. And I wanted to crawl inside the head, and I allow you to be with me as we do this, with one of the top recruiters that I know, her name is Krystan Samaniego. Krystan is my guest this week, and the really cool thing that you will hear in her voice is how she is so confident at what it is that she has to offer. It’s like this, if you knew where the very best key lime pie was to be found in Key West, would you tell your friends going to Key West…Yes. Oh my gosh. It’s right across from the Key Lime bike tour.

If you haven’t been on a bike tour, you should go. That’s my friend, Christopher Ellis. And, you will be blown away. It is the best. There is no hesitation in that because I truly believe that’s the best key lime pie.

So what happens, when we start talking about our business, or we start talking about taking a look at what it looks like to build with, let’s say your vitamin business, your hair care business, your essential oil business, is, you start to think, Oh my gosh, what are they going to think of me, I don’t know what to say. And the energy is off.

So it’s about confidence, it’s about connection, it’s about listening, and it’s about really practicing and getting really good at it, because you believe that this is a good alternative for someone that is looking to build a side gig, or someone like me that was looking to build a business that was going to leave a legacy for my family. But I wanted to have a different model, I didn’t want to have to manage all the tech and manufacture my own products, and I love people. What a great model.

My guest Krystan Samaniego, is the creator of MORE to Motherhood, speaker, business coach and CEO of the Launch Your Six Figure Side Hustle BluePrint. She is also a busy mom of 3 and resides in Palm Beach, Florida with her husband, Regan. So when we listen to Kristen today, you are going to hear how she has conversations, and I always say she’s like a little Jack Russell, she just grabs that tennis ball and will not let it go, but she does it in a way that’s authentic and organic and I know that you’re going to love this interview. So… Are you ready?

KEYNOTES DISCUSSED:

• So when you’re online dating, you don’t think every conversation is going to lead to a date…your intention, when you’re online dating is to find somebody that you’re going to have connection with, and you’re looking for a partner, or you’re looking for maybe a husband, maybe a wife, whatever, so every connection doesn’t lead to…we’re gonna go on a date. So you don’t go into the online dating profile and say, well, is it going to be tacos or chicken? (7:08)

• There’s this energy around your recruiting and it’s pretty magical. Do you want to share that secret, or is it super secret? No, I’m happy to share all the secrets, honestly, because the reason why I love to share this is because I have been there, I’ve been in the struggles, I’ve been in the trenches, I have experienced that lack of self-confidence, and that’s why I need the new tools in my tool belt and the energy that Beth is talking about is truly everything. (10:12)

• I always tell people when I’m training people, and sort of like what you say too, is your profile is your prime real estate, you want to be showing up there professionally, you want to have a nice profile picture of your face not for your dog, your face, smiling professional. This is where we want to be a network marketing, we want to give this profession a good name because it is incredible, it is an incredible industry. (15:13)

• I’m not promising success, but I am confident in what we have, and that’s the other piece too, that shifted for me in this business. Before I was like bagging anyone with a pulse to join my team, and that shift of abundance… And it’s all coming to me, and I’m doing the right thing serving my audience, I’m not in the business of convincing people to join, I want people that are motivated to join, and then I know that I can show them the way. (18:37)

• I’m not going to give up on you. That’s what I’m saying, even I follow up with you. I come from the heart, I’m not giving up on you. I know you want this, I know you’re thinking about it, and so my follow up looks like a combination of messenger, how is it going? Checking on you as a human to make sure you’re doing okay, because a lot of my follow-ups are Moms, they’re doing all the things and we’re home, some of us are in quarantine, it’s a little bit crazy, we’re about to pull out our hair, but also there is like, I get the fear. (21:52)

WHEN DOES IT AIR…

June 22, 2020

EPISODE TRANSCRIPT:

Okay, we are ready with an interview that you want to miss, this is Krystan Samaniego. And so I love to bring people that are killing it in their network marketing businesses, and especially Krystan because she’s a master recruiter, but she had a bunch of businesses before this time that didn’t go as planned.

So, fill us in a little bit. So, let me give you some background. So, Krystan has a brand called More to Motherhood. And what is that all about? It’s like, is there more than one to Motherhood?

Yeah, oh my gosh. So yes, I get so excited talking about this because for the longest time, I always felt like I was meant for more, but I wasn’t… And I’m sure we’ll get into this, but I wasn’t having that success that I wanted, but I had this burning desire deep down in my gut, I could do something more. Like I love being a mom, I love my children so much. So fiercely, but I also want to show them what’s possible and set that example, and so More to Motherhood was really born out of that passion and desire, to not only show myself, but to show other women that they can have all the things that they dream up in life, because I kept hearing over and over on a common scene that like, Well, I’ll do this when my kids get older, or when this happens, or when this happens, living the, What if life. And I was like, we get to that now, and we can show our children that we can be all of those things in a good mom, so More to Motherhood was born because I am determined to show driven moms that they can have more, and more stands for motivating ourselves to rise every day, because that’s what we do as women, as moms, as entrepreneurs, and so that was really how More to Motherhood came about.

So this is a piece too that I’m passionate about, is that motherhood can be defined any way you want it to be defined, so you’re not a better mom, if you decide that you’re going to be completely involved in the kids classrooms or… And this is a moment that really hit me when I was building my business, I sat my kids down and I basically said, I have these goals, and this is why, and so what are the things… Where are the places that I’m spending time now because I needed more time because I was building a business, and my daughter said to me, I don’t care if you work the concession stand at my performances. That was something I thought I’d be there all the time. I’d be setting up the pens that we were selling or the popcorn, and so I always say that More to Motherhood can also mean… And this is me coming from almost having two adult children, is we spend so much time in motherhood perfection and thinking that this is how it’s supposed to look, this is how other people’s opinions about what your mom-ing looks like has nothing to do with the quality of being a mom. And so when I’ve watched you build your business, you are showing them that you can build an independent business, you built to multiple six figures while working full-time, building a part-time business all online, and the crazy thing is, is we live five minutes apart, so I want to go back. So, this is what I want to do is I think that people like to hear the story of, how do I find a Krystan? How do I recruit a Krystan?

How does she show up on social media, and there’s all kinds of recruiting formulas and do this and do that, but I think a lot of it is the energy of knowing that person who’s on the way, but also being visible. So, I want to go back to the day that you were searching… Why were you searching? And I like that you were stalking me because people don’t stalk me very often, but… What were you searching for? You were already in a business… Yes, I was. So, I was searching because I was probably, I think that was my fourth, a business that I had been in, and I was searching for something and I really… I didn’t know what exactly I was searching for, but I was searching for…

I think it was, I always knew and these other businesses, there was a missing piece to the puzzle for me, I knew that I could do it, and I’m a hard worker, I’m a hustler, I may not have had all of the skills, but I am coachable and I am open and I’m determined. And so that day that I got on social media and I was looking for someone to help me, help me build this business that had done it before, and I came across your profile and I was like, Oh, she looks like… I saw that she lived in Wellington five minutes from me, and I was like, I could totally reach out to her, it makes it so… normal that were neighbors. Practically, I’m just going to message her and I basically was like, I saw your profile, I saw that you had had success, and I wanted that, and I was like, You know what, this is going to be different for me this time because other times in business, I had just joined a friend or whatever, and it was going to be so much fun. We’re going to do this together, and that’s great, but I needed the leadership because I really wanted to take this business to the next level and have life-changing income for my family. But I also knew that I did not have all the skills that I needed to have to build a business and I needed to learn from someone that had done it before, so I literally went to your page, your profile, I was like, okay, she knows what she’s talking about… She knows what she’s doing.

And I sent you a message. I was like, you know what, worst case scenario, she’s going to think, this lady is crazy. But you didn’t… And I also think that that piece of your energy, because I know who you are, I know who I am, and I knew that I was going to find it. I just think that it was like that piece of energy connecting us because I knew that I could have more, and I knew that you knew how to take me there, then show me the way… So here’s the thing about connection, and I want to point this out to all of you is I feel like so many people that are out there building businesses recruiting are always thinking about, how do I message this person, then ask them to buy my stuff or be my team? And when Krystan reached out to me, I wasn’t thinking I’m going to recruit her to be on my team, I was thinking, Here’s a mom, she said, I have three kids, I’m in Wellington as well. Tell me more about what you do. And the thing is, is that had she said, I love my company, I love what I’m doing, I would have found her resources, because my mission is to give women confidence and courage and tools and strategies and the right connections to do whatever it is they want to do, so the intention behind the conversations you guys, they have to be about connection, and if that connection, it’s kind of like, think about this, if you are online dating and you… I’ve never done online dating. Thank goodness, I didn’t have to, but I know a lot of people do it. And it’s awesome.

Is that how you ended up meeting? Oh my gosh, she’s got this beautiful husband she met online. Okay, let’s talk online dating versus recruiting. This is good.

So, when you’re online dating, you don’t think every conversation is going to lead to a date… your intention when you’re online dating is to find somebody that you’re going to have connection with and you’re looking for a partner, or you’re looking for maybe a husband, maybe a wife, whatever, so every connection doesn’t lead to… we’re going to go on a date. So, you don’t go into the online dating profile and say, well, is it going to be tacos or chicken? Watch this video and decide. So, thinking about… and this is what I love, and I’m going to shift this because I want people to be able to do something, because we were talking about learning today.

So, Krystan recruits like crazy, but she always… This is the thing is, she’s always connecting, she’s connecting in a way. She’s visible, if she can be on a podcast, she’s on a podcast, she’ll pitch herself, even before you made six figures, you created your brand and you thought, this is what I want to do, this is my mission. So, you’re clear on your mission. I call you a Jack Russell because you are determined, like she is going to find the bone in the yard, but not in a weird way, but she’s determined for success.

The other thing is, is she always follows a funnel, which is a walk-through, so I know people are thinking… I’m just going to say that you meet people in groups because you connect, you show up, you serve, you give value, you never go into groups, you never go around being that weirdo spammy person, who’s like, hey, I see that you also like flowers, so you should be on my network marketing team, you’re connecting and having conversations, and then how do you go from… let’s say that you and I met in a mom’s group for kids. Give me one of them. A mom groups. I’m not in a mom group… Give me one.

I mean, I’m in a working moms’ groups because we’re trying to juggle all the things, right?

So, you’re in a working mom group and you connect, let’s say with Marilyn. And Marilyn is asking like, does anybody use Canva in your working mom group? And you respond and you give value. How would you go from meeting Marilyn, who’s asking about Canva to seeing if she might be someone from friend to connection to then having a conversation about your business? And you always do it in a way that they’re like, Oh my gosh, I’m so excited that you asked me, even if it’s no, there’s this art around a connection and the offer, but you aren’t afraid to jump to the offer to walk us through… And I also know this that like you guys, because I am inside of Krystan’s brain all the time, I also know that she has such belief that she can help someone to have success, so walk through… We’ve just met, we’re talking about Cava inside of this Women Business Group, and all of a sudden, then I’m put on a three-way chat with this person to share my story. I’m like, how did you do that? That’s magical. And she’s like, Oh my gosh, I’m so glad Krystan reached out to me. There’s never a moment, and also you let people go that are…that are offended. You’re like, Oh, that’s okay. They weren’t ready for me. They’ll come back, there’s this energy around your recruiting and it’s pretty magical. Do you want to share that secret or is it super-secret?

No, I’m happy to share all the secrets, honestly, but you got… Because the reason why I love to share this is because I have been there, I’ve been in the struggles, I’ve been in the trenches, I have experienced that lack of self-confidence, and that’s why I need the new tools in my tool belt and… and the energy that Beth is talking about is truly everything. I never reach out to someone when I’m in a funk… And that’s what happened when that reached out to me in that conversation, just kind of going back for a second, I felt her energy and I knew that her intentions were true, I knew that she wasn’t trying to recruit me, I knew that she was totally telling me and giving me value in giving me advice and kind of steering me in a direction that would help me make a choice, because she knew that I was struggling. And so that’s what really my gut told me to join back was because I can sense that I knew that that energy was true in… so, that’s what I try to carry into.

But I’m having conversations with people. Honestly, the biggest piece of advice I can give you what I’m having connections, so then I’m creating connections in groups, and someone asked me about Canva or someone asked me about something else, it’s really asking those questions, thinking of how to ask questions for those people like, hey, hey, Marilyn, I saw that you wanted some advice on Canva, what are you trying to create, what are you trying to do with this?

What are you trying to build with this and that I can help you better? I’m just asking those questions about them so that I know how I can help them further.

And the more questions you ask, the more I learn about how I can serve them that… And so that’s really been the biggest learning piece for me is because I used to do the word vomit where I would give everyone all of this stuff, and I never ask a single question about them, it was about me, and now I’ve learned to switch that around and make it about them. And so, I never end a conversation or a piece of sharing a piece of information about myself without asking a question about them, so… Just kind of asking those questions, what do they do for work? What has you diving into Canva, why are you creating this for? Super curious. And maybe ask me how I can learn from them too.

Here’s what I want you guys to think about is, so there’s a connection in a conversation, and then like online dating, you’re going to go check out the person…

So, what Krystan does really well is one of the ways… I think back to that conversation and I asked her, I said, Oh, I’m curious. I do reach out to me because I’m always learning, and I said to her, I’m always learning what I can do. So, people can connect, and then I said, where are you currently struggling?

And then I was able to share how there were benefits like, oh, I get it, and we created an onboarding system and a way that people can do X, Y, and Z with this, and I knew her struggle, so I could show the benefit and then ask more questions. So, you’re having the conversation with Marilyn, and you guys are going to laugh. I got to do… This is… We’re talking about moms, but I just got this text; ‘Hi, Donny invited the girls to come over and I wanted to be sure that you’re home the whole time’…That is a good mom. All of you young moms, I need to realize that you need to text and ask, because these kids, even if they’re great, they’re sneaky little sneaks.

Okay, I love a little motherhood in here, so I want to talk about how Krystan create… It’s real and it’s authentic. She’s marketing her business in a true way that makes sense, it’s not an after-thought, so she’s talking to Marilyn and the Canva group, and I’m going to tell you, I know she’s already put some value-driven content in that group that would help. And so, people know who she is, and she’s intentionally in the group providing value, learning from others and engaged in a community, it’s not that she’s in the group trying to… let’s find everybody I can. You guys, you’re networking, that’s the same thing as if you go to school and you’re working in the cafeteria, you’re going to network with people because it’s about meeting new people. Someone says, What’s the best car wash? You’re going to help.

So, she meets Marilyn, they have the conversation. This is where the next steps of why Marilyn is going to say to Krystan, what do you do? Because her profile, she’s an online dating site, her magazine covers, her prime real estate, makes people want to know more without her putting out on the first day that they love our online dating… This is the title of the episode, your dream business partner is just like online dating, so now Marilyn’s checking you out, what is your prime real estate saying and how can somebody… I go and I’m like, oh my gosh, she is like a…

I can tell exactly what our values are, so talk about your prime real estate, and you train this a lot…I know for your team. Yes. Oh my gosh, I love to use that because I always tell people when I’m training people, and sort of like what you say too, is your profile is your prime real estate, you want to be showing up there professionally, you want to have a nice profile picture of your face, not for your dog, in your face, smiling, professional. This is where we want to be a network marketing, we want to give this profession a good name because it is incredible, it is an incredible industry.

You’re always consistent, and I know that you’ll hear this over and over again, consistent with your content, you’re showing people more about you because you’re branding yourself, it doesn’t have to go deep into doing all of this crazy stuff, but by branding you, you’re covered, you’re sharing with people about who you are, because people don’t buy just products, you guys, they buy you… They are joining you as a person, I’ve had people come to me and not even know about my product and say, I don’t know what you’re doing, but I want to join you because I believe in you. Because they know me, they like me and they trust me, and they see what I have done, I’m very confident in the systems and the tools that we have, so I have my content, I have my stories, I’m consistently sharing in my stories, not only about my product and business and creating curiosity around that, about my life. Like More than Motherhood, I share about my life with my kids, it’s not always perfect, it’s crazy. You might hear them in the background, I’m just saying, my kids are nuts. I have one, four and a 10-year-old.

I’m sharing that on my wall, I’m consistently showing up as a mom and an entrepreneur and inspiring people to go after more, which is my mission and my purpose, I’m confident in my company, I’m confident in the products that I have, and I’m confident in my team and I show up with showing all of those things consistently throughout my social media, and I’m also giving value, I’m going live and my stories, I’m going live on my page, whether it be once a week, something that you can commit to, start small, but be consistent with it, because when you show up and get value to people without expecting anything in return, that’s when I’d had the biggest attraction factor, people see me, they see what I’m doing, they see the energy that I have and they see it in confident and they know that just like I saw as… I knew that she could help me, I knew that she could get me to where I wanted to go, and my energy is there, you guys, so… That’s your prime real estate. So, when I’m talking to Marilyn and she sees my prime reality and she’s like, Who is it that, they start watching. And I’m just continuing a conversation with Marilyn asking about what she’s doing, but ultimately what happened sometimes is that person will ask me what I do because they’re curious, and you know what, I’m not too shy to ask what they do, and if they’re having success, how long they have… They’ve been doing it because if they’re struggling, I want to provide value, whether that be with me or someone else, hey, I’m all for empowering other women to have success, it doesn’t have to necessarily be with me. But I ask those questions so that I can better serve that person… and can you guys, it comes back to you because I truly believe that when you put that out there, that energy out there, and you’re consistently showing up, providing value and providing arrows out, serving, driven leadership, that’s what you’re going to see. Give me the biggest return. So that’s really how I tend to move people through my funnel, and I asked, hey, if you’re struggling, you’re having a hard time, and I love for you to see how you can add another steady income with what I’m doing, because I am so confident in my team and what we do, that I can show you… As long as you’re willing to put in the work, I can show you how to do this.

And so I’m not promising success, but I am confident in what we have, and that’s the other piece too, that shifted for me in this business, before I was like bagging anyone with a pulse to join my team, and that shift of abundance… And it’s all coming to me and I’m doing the right thing serving my audience, I’m not in the business of convincing people to join, I want people that are motivated to join, and then I know that I can show them the way… Just like you’re able to do with me.

I love too, that you’re very focused and specific around…I might not, I would go to your page like I do and know exactly what you stand for and be able… I’ve shared you with one of my niece’s friends who has two babies, their 30, totally relate to you. Somebody is going to come to my space, and we both help entrepreneurial women with mindset and with marketing, but most of my kid things are, how to have your Brave Second Act.

Your content really relates to those moms that are thinking, okay, is this all there is? And you’re real, you’re not like, oh, everything is Instagram filtered, and I’m perfect and look at me, and every way you’re like, listen, the struggle is real.

And that’s really key to is showing up with authenticity, and then what you do behind the scenes of having the confidence to ask… Having the confidence to say, Will you take a look? Being brief and simple, and then you also… You create a lot of intrigue and you do a lot of service-driven that you created, and this is what I think people have to remember their webinars that you’ve just created some slides on can ask people to register for a Zoom and you… from the start, I don’t even think you had hit your car bonus or maybe you adjusted it, you hit that three weeks in, but you started to say, how can I have something to invite to? That’s not just like, hey, you want to take a look? So, you are showing people how to use social media to build an online business, and then at the end… It’s kind of like, hey, this is what I do with my team, but I hope this was helpful to you. You also have a group that is just a community of moms that you’re not in there doing any recruiting, you’re just giving value because you are like, we need a safe place for moms to hang out and talk about business if they want to complain about the fact that they’re getting nothing done during the day, they can do that too.

So, community connection, transparency, those are things that happen, competence, and what it is that you’re doing and the success. Then the other thing is, is that you’re relentless with follow-up.

So, let’s end with, if you have someone that has kind of raised their hand but isn’t taking the next steps, how do you follow up… Is it all business? Is it conversational? Like, what’s your follow-up?

Oh guys, this is my favorite topic to talk about because I am… Some of my teammates who I obviously followed up with where like, ‘Krystan was consistently loving when following up’, because I will…I’m not going to give up on you. That’s what I’m saying, even I follow up with you. I come from the heart; I’m not giving up on you. I know you want this, I know you’re thinking about it, and so my follow up looks like a combination of messenger, how is it going? Checking on you as a human to make sure you’re doing okay, because a lot of my follow-ups, our moms, they’re doing all the things and we’re home, some of us are in quarantine, it’s a little bit crazy, we’re about ready to pull out our hair, but also there is like, I get the fear. I’ve been there before; I relate to people.

So, I am telling them that I understand, I’m relating to them as a human. I’m not pushing people to join, I’m not pushing people away, but my whole system is checking on people as a human, just… How are you doing, how are the kids doing? I know these people now I’m asking those questions because I genuinely care, because when people join my team, they are family, and I love on them, and no matter where they’re at, everyone can sit at the table, whether you’re at 8k, 20K, 40K, whatever rank you are, or if you were just here, loving on the community and you love the products, I love you all equally, so I’m just really here to give you more… right?

So, I follow up and love on them is a human… I asked them where their thoughts are and I’m pretty direct, and I feel, like you say, that clearest kind… So, I’m very clear, I’m very clear in like, hey, I see that you’re hesitant, I’m just an open book. What do you think is holding you back? Because I either I want you to feel super confident and jumping in, or I want to help you, what more can I answer for you? How can I make you feel better about this investment in this business venture with me because there’s nothing to lose, and I just love on them that way as well, because I ask those questions, I also ask people, which has been my favorite question to ask, because I went with my gut. What does he get? Tell you, you know what, you’re not saying, it’s whether you want to listen to it or not, you know that if you want something and you’re on the edge and you’re scared, but you’re gut is saying, you should go for it. You should go for it. You have that whisper, you need to listen to your gut, because that has never led me a stray, so I do have that question as well, and then I also love to engage on me… It’s not one way, right? This is not a one-way relationship, it takes two people to have that relationship in that connection, and so I’m going to their social media, I’m learning about them still loving on their posts, I’m loving on their stories, I’m commenting, I’m engaging with them.

So, it’s not all in messenger, just being like wanting them to join… When are going to join, right? It’s all about making them feel good of the person, because when they join you, they’re going to be ready because you have shown kindness, you have shown them that you don’t have to be a pushy network marketer, that you can be a support person and that you’re adding value, and you know what, at the end of the day. If they’re like, this isn’t for me, or I just can’t right now.

Hey, I love you where you’re at, I’m still going to follow up with you work in the touch base here in a couple of months, but I totally understand and I want you to feel good about this situation, and you know what, a lot of those times people leave with this good feeling of like, Krystan really cares about me, Krystan shows me that she…I have people say, you’ve done more for me than my upline has ever done, and I’m not even on your team yet. And it’s because I genuinely care about the women that are thinking about joining the industry, because I know it’s possible for them, and I know that they have to be ready for… They have to be ready for more, and I’m there to guide them, to give them information and to show them what’s possible. When they are ready to take that leap.

Well, and one thing that I love also about you, and you’ve said this, and this was something that… because we have all different companies listening to the podcast, all different people that love what they do, and you always start with, are you currently happy with where you are right now, and if so, let me share with you a couple of the resources that have helped me to grow online, and you even have invited sideline companies to some of your trainings, not as a recruiting point of view, but to say, hey, we’re doing this, it may help you, and that was something that really… That I think is ethical and the right thing to do because when you and I have conversations with people all of the time, and I know that we both have done a lot of work with Rob Perry, is that you constantly… when somebody comes to you for advice, you want them to… first, take a look at what’s happening at home. Like, don’t be a shiny squirrel.

I would say the grass is not always greener, but there will be a time in your life, if you relate it to online dating, a marriage, that you’re like, this is not what… So this does not fit my mission, it doesn’t fit my vision, this does not fit my goals, it’s maybe you’re not passionate about a product that was yours with your other company or like the product just so… So, for me, and so you were getting up in the morning and having this huge… But when you have someone that… I have a friend that just… She helps with an animal supplement and she’s so excited about the result she can’t wait to share with me, and she’s like, look at this video, look at this, look at this. That’s how you need to be is. The podcast I shared with you this week. be obsessed, and you… I would say that that’s how I could describe you as being obsessed because during COVID, when you weren’t working, Krystan as a sign language interpreter.

And she’s like, I’m obsessed with wanting to not ever have to have someone tell me when to work and when not to work, I’m obsessed with having options, and that’s why I’m going to work even harder, and I was like, okay, oh my gosh, that’s telling the lead race horse to run faster and everybody’s already talking to catch up.

So closing thoughts that you would have for someone that’s listening to this and they’re thinking, well, sure, it’s easy for her, but it’s not happening for me, at first of all, we know that’s a mindset thing. What if someone’s ready to make a shift? What’s the first thing that you would tell them to do, personally, to make that shift?

Oh my gosh. Okay, so yeah, so if you’re obviously, if you’re happy, you need to stay where you are. We don’t need any shine squirrel object syndrome going on here, because we want to empower you to go after more, so my biggest advice for you was… And this is kind of what happened to me, because I’m going to tell you right now, it was not easy for me, four and a half years of working hard and busting my tushy to do all these events outside my home and presentations and working full-time. And at that time I had two children, but when it came time for me to really make a decision, and I found what I was excited about, and I found a company that I believed in. And all of the systems, and I was like, okay, this is it. I have the leadership, now I have the product, I had everything aligned that I felt like my puzzle pieces were missing. So, if you feel like you have that already, what’s holding you back? You need to decide today. And that’s exactly what I did. And that was crazy, but when we decide, it’s not like, oh, I’m going to decide to do this next week, I’m going to decide to do this today, and so what does that look like? What I want for my life, I want to be at the top rank of my company… Well, I need to act like that today, what is that person doing at the top rank of the company that I’m not doing because I think, oh, I’m not there yet. I can’t do that.

No, I was like, well, I’m going to get to the top of the company, I’m going to act like it now, so that’s where the confidence piece comes from, that’s where the decision came that I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. So I made that decision that every single day, I was going to be consistent and I was going to implement, don’t be like you have to learn every single thing, every single task, perfect, this, perfect that, and then you’re going to start next week. Now, you need to decide today.

Start today, showing up at that as a leader that you want to be in your company and do the work, don’t procrastinate to do the hard things… You all have things that we don’t like to do in our business, right? But that means you need to do, and you need to push past that glass ceiling that you’re feeling, or those limiting beliefs, and you just need to move forward because perfect is better than done. And just doing those steps every single day that you know you need to do those income-producing activities today is going to build your business and that muscle is going to get stronger and stronger and stronger, and you’re going to continue to grow, but you have to make that decision to do it today. So, how bad do you want it?

What does that position look like, that you want that leadership role, that you want? What are they doing? Ask them, What are you doing every single day, and you start doing that as well, because that’s what’s going to take you there, and that’s what I had to do because I wasn’t acting like the leader that I wanted to be. I would say, oh, well, when I get to that level, then I can do that. No, I need to do that today because that’s what’s going to get me to that level. Well, and also, I think one of the biggest things that holds people back is they think that they haven’t acquired the skill set yet, but there have been millions, millions, billions of dollars made a network marketing.

And there are many different ways to build a business. So what I would suggest to do is to say, okay, how can I up my game in this area, but back when I was building, we didn’t understand, it was just when we are starting to really think about providing value and content on our personal pages, people were doing blogs and things like that. But to start to say, how could I provide more value? How can I have more connection? And how will I have more conversations? And I’ll encourage you to not just have conversations with people that end up being a new connection, but taking a little bit of a the… Krystan and I have talked about this, that so much marketing is out there with, oh my gosh, you’re never going to ask a family or a friend to use your product, and in a way that you’re not bugging them, if you know that they can have a massive change, of course, if you see somebody in your phone and you’re thinking, this person, if you are opening your own is Bikini store that you sold bikinis that looked amazing, that were the top fit, everything was great. And your friend that goes to the beach, and you say, oh, she’s my friend. I’m not inviting her to my bikini store, I’m just going to wait and invite my online friends. So when you have a miracle, when you have magic, when you have options. She might say, No, I’m not into bikinis. Thanks though, but I’ll tell my friends.

But I want you to encourage you to be relentless in your goals to let people know that this is what you’re doing, this is what you’re building, so up your social media game, up your connection game, but up your conversation game and then up the value that you’re putting out into the world, and value meaning your Facebook lives, your content, but also what value are you providing other people get yourself in the game of how can I serve and then what are you creating that’s allowing them to see and to take a look at what you do? So, Krystan, what’s your favorite… If you have a favorite mindless TV, when you’re thinking I’ve just got to watch something to take my mind off, it can be old, or something new. If you have to binge watch something, what would you binge? Oh my gosh, such a good question. I’m ashamed to answer this, I’m going to give you two because it just depends on my mood. So I will watch Property Brothers all day long, and I also love a little Bachelor In Paradise, I’m just going to be honest, because it makes me a laugh.

Okay, well, if you did not have your gluten-free mom. and you’re super healthy, but if any food could be healthy and you could eat it and feel amazing, you’re not going to have a stomach ache afterward, it’s like eating spinach, it could be anything. What would that food be like? Literally, you must eat it to get to stay healthy, and it can’t be a fruit or vegetable, it has to be something indulgent. Well, it’s a tossup between cupcakes, because I love my gluten free cupcakes, but if it didn’t have to be gluten free, I’m going to be honest with you all, I like pizza, with everything on it, and that would be amazing if I could eat that. Whenever I wanted.

Okay, one more question. These are good ones. See, these are things I don’t know about you. Okay, if I called you tomorrow and said, we are going to get on an airplane and we’re going someplace for three days to rest, relax or investigate… Where would we go?

Oh, we would go… I’m going to have to say, we would go to Greece, I’ve always wanted to go to Greece, and I know you’ve been there before. But we need to stay in the same villa.

Oh my gosh, I would love to go to Greece. Yes, when we can travel again, I told Danelle Delgado, I said, we need to have the same place in Mykonos. That was incredible. So, we’ll go to Greece; we’ll have cupcakes and eat pizza. And it will be amazing, right?

Thank you Krystan for being on with us. And where can people… So, your group for moms, tell us where to find it.

So More to Motherhood. If you search More to Motherhood, that’s where you can find my group, that’s where we hang out and have fun with motherhood and all the tips, entrepreneur and motherhood to track us up and join us. We have fun.

This is airing on Monday, so I know you have a free… And you guys, it’s free with no pitch, there’s nothing afterward, and she’s just giving a free value-driven workshop. So, is that starting? Has it already started?

No, it starts to Monday, the 22nd, and it’s going to be awesome. I’m super excited, recruit like a boss because I’m going to share how I recruit like a box with them, with authenticity and loving on people.

And I know that that is one of the things that people have been asking me for. So, it’s going to be super fun and I get to be a guest. Yeah, and I’ve seen… She sent me her beautiful presentation, workbook Recruit Like a Boss, More to Motherhood, it’s free, it’s pitch free, it’s generic. Because she said to me, listen, if I would have known this, it would have saved me a lot of frustration. So, get on in there for that and… Thanks for being on with us today, Krystan.

Thank you for having me. You are welcome.

Thank you so much for hanging out with us today, and I want to give you some exciting news, so the Map Membership, we officially opened our doors on Friday. But here’s the deal, I have been thinking about how summer feels and looks. And what I found is that a lot of what we’ve been building requires a lot of independent work, meaning you will get social media tips, but you go and learn around what is… What is the personal branding mission for you to bring content to social media, things like that?

So as I was thinking about that, I thought, you know what, the founding members, the first people that have come in, I want to run them through their success path, meaning, how do we use our mission in our content on social media to attract more people to us, or how are we using the 54321 tools that are inside of the Map. There’s a Trello board that has what your five reach-outs look like, what you’re four follow-ups look like, and words to use and how to connect.

And so, what I decided was, we are going to close the doors June 30th. for real. Meaning, if you are not in by June 30th, you will have to wait to come in. And those that are part of this founder’s VIP group are working through a small piece with me like summer camp. So, here’s how that will look. There are about, let’s say there’s 15 things that you need to do to build your business, that one is your mindset, work, your mindset map, and we will run through creating your own calendar with your mindset map.

We will run through what does your social media plan look like for the week, we will run through what kind of content will create engagement, connection and serve, and not feel weird and spammy and attraction, like, hey, look at me. We’re going to do that together, and there will be little short lessons and teaching, and then you’ll go out and apply it, so it’s like in the mastermind circles, coaching circles, and testing. I call this the test drive. This isn’t going to happen again, because that’s like a mastermind, this is me, live with you almost every day, giving you the tools. Let’s apply it to your business, let’s test drive it, let’s come back and get results, because when the doors open again after summer, what we’ll do is we will actually have that as a course. So, if you’re listening to this and it’s past summer, you can check themapmembership.com, you can get on the list to get in now. That will always be updated with being on the waiting list or getting it… You’ll have a course to take that will walk you through the map, and then on the back end of that, you’ll be able to be in the membership to get the support, because there’s a lot to learn, a lot for you to grow.

And it just didn’t feel right for me to say, let me throw you inside of the map, and now go over here and look at the social media content, my goal is for you to have the success path for you to have progress… For you to have the support along the way for you to be able to test drive your new car and come back and get some feedback on it, and for the community to build together in connection.

So, if that’s for you, get to themapmembership.com, get on in before we close the doors. Today’s the 22nd, if you’re listening live, but we will close the doors on the 30th, and summer camp will be in session, and they will re-open again in the fall, and it will look very different. It’ll still be awesome, but it will look very different. So, I’ll catch you guys all either in Camp Elevate or in the map Membership. Please send me a review, share this on Instagram in your stories. We got new boss hats in, and this week, I was… Andrea asked me, how do I get a boss hat? Because Bree had on one in one of her cool TikTok videos, if you know Bree, she’s like the TicTok queen and she has a boss hat on in her video, and everybody wanted to know how to get one.  so you get one, you write a review or you give a five star review, you can write a review or you share this in your Instagram Stories, and I choose one person that does that in a week, and I send a Boss Hat… So, I’ll see you in Instagram stories or I’ll catch your review. You guys have a beautiful week, and I cannot wait to connect with you in the Map Membership, or in Camp Elevate.
